SIJ#13 What Defines ‘Self-Reflection’ For A Musician? Music Journals and Asking The Tough Questions

Welcome back to Sitting In Jams!

We’re back with a brand new episode for your un/caffeinated ears!

This week, we’re discussing what self-reflection is like for musicians. For a lot of creative people, it’s highly important that they have an outlet for deeper thoughts, feelings and debriefs on their creative experiences. Sometimes, it’s about capturing concepts or ideas to work on at a later date.

We started by discussing famous musicians & artists, the necessity of their self-reflection for their artwork, and exploring how we each journal our experiences, both musical and non-musical reflections.

How important is it for you to document your own self-reflections on your creative journey?

We would love to know your thoughts in the comment section below!

if you’d like to ask a question for us to discuss on the podcast, drop us a comment on YouTube, Instagram, Soundcloud, Facebook or Twitter and we’ll break it down in a future episode!
